The Cup

What it tastes like

Delicate and precise — bergamot and honey up front, with a soft plum sweetness that carries into a tea-like finish.

The Origin

Where it comes from

Grown on terraces overlooking Lake Kivu, where volcanic soil and high altitude combine to produce some of the Great Lakes region's most refined Bourbon coffee.

The People

Who grows it

Sourced in partnership with Nyamasheke Washing Station, whose relationship with our roastery goes beyond a single harvest.

The Process

Washed

Processed using the washed method, chosen by the producer for how it expresses this particular lot.

The Roast

Light roast

A gentle light roast, developed slowly to preserve the bergamot brightness.

Brew It

How we drink it

A natural fit for pour-over, ideally with a lighter grind and longer bloom.
